If you've been selling directly to customers on your website but you'd like to get your product in stores, ask the customers who repeatedly order if they'd like to save shipping costs by going to their local store instead. Then ask them to suggest to the store that it carry your product. Voilà—instant sales force! And the stores will start calling you to order. I've had this happen a few times, since people would rather not pay for shipping every time they order. Even though you'll sell wholesale to stores, which means you won't make as much per item, you can make it up by requiring a minimum order.
